A road accident that happened at the Tarzan area of the Onitsha –Enugu expressway, claimed 4 lives yesterday and two others were injured.
There were conflicting reports about the incident, with some people claiming that it involved people who attended the flag off of the presidential campaign of All Pprogressives Congress, APC, while others said the bus merely caught fire as it was heading towards Awka.
The incident caused traffic gridlock in the area and motorist had to use the old Onitsha –Enugu road, which also became jam packed due to the heavy traffic.
Saturday Vanguard gathered that security operatives were making efforts to clear the road, while the dead and those who sustained injuries were taken to the hospital.
